About

Gabriele ‘Mo’ Loschelder born in Düsseldorf (Germany), is a painter, DJ, musician, record label manager, club operator, and artist agent. Particularly in the context of Berlin techno and club culture.

Mo studied from 1986–1992 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, under Gerhard Richter. In 1992 she moved to Berlin, and became involved in the city’s electronic music scene. She began working as a DJ, and came into contact with the Swiss artist Daniel Pflumm, through performances in the Berlin mini club Elektro. There she also met the musician Klaus Kotai, who she has collaborsted with many times, as Kotai + Mo. Together with Daniel Pflumm and Klaus Kotai, she founded the record label Elektro Music Department, and released 2 solo records, and together with Kotai, 2 albums and 4 singles.

Worked at the renowned Berlin record store Hard Wax, from 1994–1998, where she was in charge of the strange music section.

Mo was involved in the Elektro club located on Mauerstraße 15, 10117 Berlin (running from the 12 December 1992–7 January 1995), located between Frisör, WMF, Tresor, and E-Werk, and the list of people who played there included Cristian Vogel, Air Liquid, Cheap Night (with Abe Duque, Susanne Brokesch, Patrick Pulsinger & Erdem Tunakan), Robert Hood, Electric Indigo, and Acid Maria.

After the Elektro club had to close, Mo founded 2 more clubs, together with Daniel Pflumm and Klaus Kotai. The 1st Panasonic 1996–1998 (located on Invalidenstraße 31, 10115 Berlin, operating between 12 December 1995–1 April 1997). The concept was based on producers who would play their stuff, all night only. Very intense, lots of fun and audiences always thrilled! The 2nd, the Init club between 1997–1999.

After working in various agencies in 2009, she founded her own musician and DJ booking and artist management agency called Media Loca, who she represents (among others): Jan Jelinek, Kammerflimmer Kollektief, Mika Vainio, Patrick Pulsinger, Alec Empire, Electric Indigo, Natalie Beridze, Gudrun Gut, Barbara Morgenstern, Acid Maria, and Ilpo Väisänen. The agency operates with a worldwide reputation, high level of experience, and is a reliable creative partner, for presenting artists at festivals, concert halls, or clubs.
