About

A true figure of London’s underground, Gideon was there at the movement’s core, pushing vinyl-driven house and techno with serious style.

Gideon has provided insight, musical and mental stimulation to Rescue Recordings since its conception. He has recorded 2 releases for the label to date, At Last/Longtimecoming 2003 and Give A Little 2003 featuring vocals from Belinda Jackson (Bluski) who featured on Red Alert by Basement Jaxx.

Gideon played at the Red/Green Christmas party, and mixed Rescue’s Miami Winter Music Conference CD titled Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda.

1 of the brightest lights in the international tech house scene, Gideon Jackson’s unique production style has helped define what people now recognise, as the London tech house sound. His early bass-heavy, hypnotic grooves for labels like Loaded, Pagan, and his own Outa the Blue imprint, automatically struck a chord with the beginning to grow underground house scene, of the mid-1990s. Since then, he has continued to develop his style, through production work for labels like Visitor, London Housing Benefit, Swag and Pirate Radio.

Whether working as a solo artist or alongside people like Terry Francis, Eddie Richards and Dave Mothersole, Gideon’s actively driving beats and dark trippy hooks, always shine through.

In 2017 he did a podcast for Strange. After a long hiatus, Gideon returns to the decks at Archivio presents Wiggle in New York in October 2025, and Wiggle at Gaffe (a new music venue in London) on the 1st November 2025. He is also a committed photographer, contributing further to his many talents.
